• Administrative and Fundraising Coordinator 

    Description:

    The camp is located on the shores of beautiful Lac de L'achigan in Saint-Hippolyte. We are an English summer camp that welcomes about 100 young people from 6 to 17 years old. The majority of our campers are followed in youth protection. Camp Weredale offers these young people a safe and beautiful environment in which they can be close to nature, create lifelong friendships and hopefully begin to heal. This is a full-time position based upon a 35-hour work week with both flexible and scheduled hours of work, including fixed day(s) in the Weredale Foundation office located in Westmount, between September and May, for which working from home is also permissible, and fixed days at the Camp Weredale Office in St. Hippolyte, between June and August. This position offers room for personal and professional growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the Foundation Office year-round and the Camp Office throughout the summer, ensuring a smooth functioning of required administrative procedures, record keeping and proper government and archival documentation while working cooperatively with Foundation and Camp Directors.
    • Responsible for a variety of administrative duties to ensure the proper functioning of the Foundation, its fundraising initiatives, and the camp operation.
    • Given that this is a newly created position it is expected to evolve. This role in its development will be instrumental as administrative needs are identified. Therefore, duties are subject to adjustments and review throughout the year.

    Specific Tasks include:

    • Providing administrative support to the Weredale Foundation.
    • Assisting Weredale Foundation Fundraising Chair and Executive Director with administrative aspects related to fundraising.
    • Assisting Executive Director and Bookkeeper with year-end audit requirements and preparation of annual audit working papers and supporting documents.
    • Maintaining the Weredale Foundation office (at 5 Weredale Park) throughout the year.
    • Assisting the Executive Director and the Camp Director in completing administrative tasks related to Camp Operations as articulated in the Quebec Camping Association Standards such as camper registrations, personnel files, property insurances, etc.
    • Support monitoring and controlling budget - VISA receipts, monthly statements, petty cash, etc..
    • Prepare an annual Action Calendar identifying the required administrative tasks that are to be carried out each month.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior Camp Weredale experience an asset
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
    • Highly reliable.
    • Ability to maintain both camper and staff information confidential.
    • Demonstrated ability and experience with the various computer systems, software and digital tools.
    • Ability to prepare spreadsheets.
    • Proficiency in both English and French.
    • Salary Offered:

      $45,000 to $60,000 per year depending on education and relevant experience

      Employment Status:

      Full-time from September to May at the Foundation office (5 Weredale Park, Westmount, QC) and June to August at the Camp Office (St. Hippolyte, QC)
